Second Annual John E. Baker Legacy Dinner - October 5, 2012

The John E. Baker Legacy Dinner is an annual dinner and awards presentation designed to celebrate the legacy of a community leader, to recognize outstanding individuals who represent Col. Baker’s legacy, and to garner support for African American Teaching Fellows. AATF is addressing the racial disparity in our local schools by supporting African American college students who commit to becoming teachers in our community.

The event will include a cocktail reception, a sit-down dinner, a keynote address, and the recognition of local community leaders. Hosted at Farmington Country Club, last year’s event drew over 200 guests from notably diverse backgrounds. We will host the event at Farmington again, with the belief that doing so allows AATF to continue to build community bridges, both in and out of the classroom.

What an amazing night! Thank you to everybody who helped make it possible!
